On Monday I had Grandma Deb and Austin signed up to do a planting class together. They had soo much fun!! Mom said that they have a lot growing in the containers. From tomatoes, pumpkins, and a variety of Herbs. I can't wait to see what actually comes up!!

Swing Set
Well this weekend I sold the play set that came with the house. I didn't think I would have such an easy time as I did. Sold it the same day the I posted it on Craigs list. It was super slick.
So the guy comes on Sunday to pick up the play set and Travis and I did a great job at disctracting Austin during the removal. Once we went out to the back yard afterwards he looked at me like what the hell just happened??? He asked me where the swing went. So, Travis being as good as he is with witty comments came up with having Austin plant a swingset seed and see if it will grow by his birthday. So that is what he did. Here are a few pics from that.
I sure hope it grows by his birthday!! ;)

Lets go fly a kite
Sorry I have gotten a little laxed in blogging the past week it had been a very busy week.
So as a catch up, on March 19 Austin and I flew the kite I had gotten him for the first time. It was a cheap $2.00 kite that if he broke it the first time out at least I wouldn't be out a lot of money. Austin had a BLAST!! He kept wanting me to crash the kite he thought that was funny.
Here is a video of the kite flying experience.

I know it may be too soon to say spring is finally here but I sure do have the spring bug. I have been a cleaning up the yard mood. Yesterday I cleaned up the rest of the dog poop and cleaned out the porch. We will for sure be using it this year. It took me a while to acquire the furniture for it but now we have it. I have a nice rocking chair and a chase lounge that will go great out here. Clay was my little helper while I was working on it.
He was a funny helper he kept rolling him self into the sun and since he is a little too young for sunscreen I wanted to try and save his little head.
I also did a great sale shopping at Kohls yesterday afternoon. I am truly amazed that you can save 250 on stuff and only spent 118. But I am sure not complaining. I got Travis new shoes and Austin and I got sandals, a few new clothes for me and the boys rounded out the trip.
We then went over to my mom's for dinner and help her with some yard work. Austin and mom uncovered the pond. No one fell in but it was not for lack of trying. Austin caught mom a few time with a board both in the stomach and the knees. After dinner we went and took the dogs for a walk and the boys did well. Austin walked the whole way (which was about 1 mile). But he did get his first scrapped knee. It started bleeding a little and it was so funny to see how big of a deal he made of it. Like he wasn't sure what to do, either cry or brush it off.

Today was a great day! The weather was incrediable it was a high in the low 70's! Hadley the normal weather for March. We grilled out for the first time this year. Travis did his normal timing for the burgers by how many beers he has had. Not exactly sure how it works but it always turns out great.
Today Clay also accomplished a great thing. He rolled over from his back to his front for the first time! He has been working soo hard on that feat for over a week. I know soon enough he will be crawling which is both exciting and sad at the same time. It means my little baby is getting bigger

Como Zoo and Bowling Tournament
This weekend was very busy. Travis bowled in the state tournament with Lance, Melissa, Jay, Roy and Darlene; and I took the boys and went to the Como Zoo with my Dad and Paula. We also spent the night up in Bloomington.
Austin loved seeing all the animals. He really loved seeing the monkeys and the tigers. The tiger roared while we were there and Austin was soo pumped. It was soo exciting to see how excited he got. The monkey with the white mustache was his favorite, he kept laughing when he would look at them and kept saying monkeys with mustaches are funny. The gorillas were awesome too. The gorilla was walking around trying to find a comfy place to nap, and my Dad kept saying that he was like Travis trying to find a comfortable place on the couch. Austin really thought that was funny he kept saying monkey is like daddy, needs a comfortable place to nap. While we were walking around every time he would see the animal he would look at it for aprox. 5 seconds and then looks at me and says, "mommy I want to see something else". It was soo funny but at the same time I was surprised that he wouldn't look any more, but I guess he is only 2. It was great to see Dad, Paula and Austin interacting. I know they don't get to see each other much which way it is great to see how much fun they all have together.

Clay at the Zoo
As most you know both boys can be shy at first when they meet people. Well that was the case this weekend when they met everyone after the zoo. I told everyone to give them some time and they will be more then comfortable. That was the case, and with Austin I think he got too comfortable with everyone. Austin had a obsession with bathroom in the hotel and since we had adjourning rooms Austin was in heaven being able to go in 2 bathrooms. As per normal he takes all of his clothes off besides his shirt and uses the potty. He was proud that he was able to go all by himself. I am not sure if he actually went but that is beside the point. Back to the main point as in why I thought Austin was too comfortable. Once he was done in the potty, he went into Lance and Melissa's room and started doing a dance in front of them. Now normally that would be nice but this time he hadn't allowed me to get his diaper back on and was dancing in front of them w/o any pants on. We all died laughing and Austin got really into it. I told Melissa, all you have to do is give him some time to warm up and the clothes will come off. That means you are in.
Travis did well at the bowling tournament. Although he may say otherwise. But he did place first in his bracket for singles. The team also did well. They won't know for a while how exactly they placed but fingers crossed they place well.
On Sunday morning, while the guys were checking into the tournament I took the boys to try and find a park for Austin to run in. Well that turned out to be a bust (you wouldn't think it would have soo hard in the cities) but I did find a small lake and we walked around and took some pics of the boys.
Oh and as I precluded to in my opening post. Austin pooped in the potty at the bowling alley today. It was the first time he has ever done that. And the look on his face when he saw how excited I was was priceless. I think he thought I was insane, like mommy it was just poop. But none the less I was super excited.
No Time like today
I have decided to start this blog as a way for us to share what is happening in our crazy world. What made me think of doing this you may ask, well it all started when my son Austin pooped on the potty today for the first time! All I could think of was who I wanted to share this with. (I know totally gross, but as a mother of almost 3 year old this is a huge thing!) And as the list kept getting longer and a lot of those people are not easy to get a hold of I came up with this. A forum for me to share some of the mundain and some of the incredible experiences we have in our crazy and fast paced life.
